Return & Refund Policy

2.1 Overview

Universal Dukaan aims to provide a smooth shopping experience. Returns are accepted subject to the conditions outlined below. Due to international shipping complexities, return policies may vary based on product category and seller.

2.2 Eligibility for Return

Returns are accepted if:

  • The product is damaged during transit
  • Wrong item was delivered
  • Item is defective
  • Item is significantly different from description

Return request must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.

2.3 Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Customized or personalized products
  • Perishable goods
  • Digital products
  • Clearance or final sale items
  • Items damaged due to misuse
  • Products restricted by customs regulations

2.4 Return Process

To initiate a return:

Our team will review within 2–5 business days. If approved, return shipping instructions will be provided. Customer may be responsible for return shipping costs unless the error was from our side.

2.5 Refund Policy

Refunds will be processed after product inspection, within 7–10 business days of approval. Refund will be made via original payment method or bank transfer (if required).

Shipping charges are non-refundable unless:

  • Product was damaged in transit
  • Wrong product was shipped
  • Order was cancelled before dispatch

2.6 Customs & International Returns

For international returns: customs duties and local charges are non-refundable. Universal Dukaan is not responsible for customs rejection, import restrictions, or delays in return transit. If a shipment is refused by the customer and returned, return shipping charges may be deducted from the refund.

2.7 Order Cancellation

Orders can be cancelled before dispatch (full refund). After dispatch, cancellation is not guaranteed. If cancellation is requested after shipment, return shipping charges may apply.

2.8 Force Majeure

Universal Dukaan shall not be liable for delays, non-performance, or service interruptions caused by:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Pandemics
  • War
  • Customs actions
  • Logistics disruptions
