Universal Dukaan is an international eCommerce platform that enables customers to purchase products and have them shipped worldwide through our logistics partner.
By placing an order on UniversalDukaan.com, you agree to the terms outlined in this Shipping Policy.
1.2 Shipping Destinations
We ship to most countries worldwide. Delivery availability depends on:
- Destination country regulations
- Product category restrictions
- Customs clearance policies
If shipping is not available to your location, you will be notified before order confirmation.
1.3 Processing Time
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation. Processing may be delayed during:
- Peak seasons
- Public holidays
- Pandemic or force majeure situations
- Customs inspections
Universal Dukaan reserves the right to apply temporary operational surcharges during extraordinary circumstances.
1.4 Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are calculated based on:
- Destination country
- Actual weight or dimensional weight (whichever is higher)
- Package dimensions
- Courier network and service level
Dimensional Weight Calculation
Dimensional weight is calculated as:
Length × Height × Width (in cm) ÷ 5000
If dimensional weight exceeds actual weight, charges will apply based on dimensional weight. Shipping rates displayed at checkout are estimates. Final charges may vary if there is a discrepancy in declared package details.
1.5 Duties, Taxes & Customs Charges
Shipping fees paid at checkout do not include customs duties, taxes, or import charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
Universal Dukaan is not liable for:
- Customs delays
- Shipments held for inspection
- Import restrictions imposed by local authorities
If the receiver refuses to pay customs duties and the shipment is returned, additional return shipping charges may apply.
1.6 Delivery Time
Estimated delivery time depends on destination country, courier partner, and customs clearance. International deliveries typically take 5–15 business days, but delays may occur due to:
- Customs procedures
- Regulatory checks
- Force majeure events
Universal Dukaan is not liable for delays beyond our control.
1.7 Shipment Limits & Packaging
Each shipment must be properly packed and sealed and include complete and accurate shipping details: full name, address, PIN/ZIP code, and phone number.
We are not responsible for non-delivery due to incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the customer.
1.8 Prohibited & Restricted Items
Universal Dukaan does not ship prohibited items including but not limited to:
- Cash, currency, negotiable instruments
- Explosives or flammable materials
- Firearms or ammunition
- Hazardous waste
- Human remains or biological materials
- Restricted goods requiring special permits
- Perishable food items requiring special storage
- Items prohibited by destination country law
Orders containing such items will be cancelled without prior notice.
1.9 Liability & Compensation
In case of loss, damage, or shortage: maximum liability is limited to the lower of the invoice value or USD 100 equivalent, unless additional insurance was purchased.
If shipment tracking shows no movement within the specified courier time frame, compensation (if applicable) is limited to the shipping charges paid. Claims must be raised within 7 days of delivery or expected delivery date.
